This post is part of the How To: Optimize Windows XP And Make It Faster article, please read the full guide.

Next we will set your PC’s memory and processor management to give full priority to programs and applications. This is already set by default on most Windows XP computers and we may not even need to change anything. To get the most out of this tutorial, we want to check to be sure anyways.

Setting memory and processor management:
1) Right-click MY COMPUTER.

2) Select PROPERTIES.

3) Select the ADVANCED tab.

4) Under PERFORMANCE click the SETTINGS tab.

5) Click the ADVANCED tab.

8 ) If any changes were made, click APPLY and then OK to exit.

Hello!, Matthew is awesomely cool with tons of knowledge and lots of experience in blah blah blah ...he doesn't like writing about himself cause it always seems to come out sounding self-centered, instead he will write this in a third person which most authors do anyway...perhaps it's because it makes us sound important cause it gives the illusion someone (non biased) thinks so highly of us they took some time off their own to write this :).Read more about me here...
