If your using Windows Vista you have probably noticed the windows sidebar, it’s pretty crappy to tell you the truth and I disabled it along time ago, having a whole sidebar there just to have a clock widget (theres none really useful) is not a great idea. But if you are a fan of it and looking for ways to modify the look of the sidebar this tutorial will show you how.
1) Go to the Windows Sidebar Styler website and download the 32-bit or 64-bit version for your version of Vista.
2) Turn off Windows Sidebar and install the downloaded program.
3) Make sure Windows Sidebar is turned off, open Windows Sidebar Styler.
4) This screen will let you see all the individual items in the loaded theme, click on the Toggle View (right arrow) button to see what the Sidebar will look like with the loaded theme.
5) To change the windows sidebar theme click the Apply Style (play) button, for additional options click the More button then select the options you want and click OK.
6) To unlock and lock the sidebar right click on the Sidebar and click Lock or Unlock.
7) To load a theme click the Load a Windows Sidebar Style (multiple squares arrow up) button then navigate to where you saved the downloaded theme and select it and click open. You can get new themes from here.
8) To save a theme click the Save Windows Sidebar Style button (multiple squares arrow down). To go back to the default Windows Sidebar theme click the Revert Images to Default (refresh) button. To uninstall a theme click the Uninstall Styles and Extensions (interlaced arrows) button.
