The first time I used uTorrent I was a bit ticked I couldn’t get the green light (that indicates good incoming connections). I later found out by disabling comodo personal firewall I could get connectivity and a the green light. So I searched for a while and found this useful way to allow CPF and uTorrent to be happy neighbours. Here’s how you do it:
Open up Comodo Firewall and click on the ‘Security‘ tab, click on ‘Network Monitor‘ and now click the ‘Add‘ button to add a new rule. The new rules settings should be :
General
Action: Allow
Protocol: TCP or UDP
Direction: In
Source IP - Any
Destination IP - Your computer IP address (or “Any” )
Source Port - Any
Destination Port - Select ‘A Single Port‘ and enter the port your uTorrent uses, if you followed my Optimal uTorrent Settings guide the port should be 45682.
Click OK, you should see a new rule under the blocked (red dot) one.Select it and click on the ‘Move Up‘ button to make the rule valid.
TIP:This tutorial does not only apply to uTorrent, you can use the same base for any bit torrent client like BitComet or Azureus.I just mainly made it for uTorrent since it’s the only client giving me this problem but I’m hearing other people have trouble with comodo blocking other clients aswell.
NOTE:You will have to disable the UPnP option from the preferences if you want this guide to work properly. If you followed the Optimal uTorrent Settings guide, it is already disabled.
Absolutely fantastic advice. I installed Comodo after getting viruses and adware all the time, even though I have up-to-date antivirus and antispyware programs installed. I’d read that Comodo and uTorrent didn’t really agree with each other, and I’ve had that annoying little yellow triangle for the whole time that Comodo has been enabled. I followed this advice and now my little green circle is back, woohoo. Thanks. :)

Great!
One thing to note. After I did this the “Test if port is forwarded properly” button in uTorrent still gave me the error, but I got the green tick.
