How To: Customize The Look Of Your Start Menu In Vista

images.jpg

I will show you how to modify the look of your start menu by using an example, one of the rare things I like from windows is the Run feature, it brings me back to those good MS DOS days where you could play games error free and didn’t have constant problems with new hardware ect… Windows XP had the Run access button quite easy to locate in the Start Menu while vista has made it much more harder to find as you have to go through Accessories to find it, in this tutorial I will show you how to create a shortcut for the Run utility in your Start Menu Panel using the customize options.

1) Right click on your task bar and select Properties.

2) Click on the Start Menu tab and then click the Customize… button.

3) Here you are able to customize the look of your start menu, from what appear to where it will take you once your click it.You can play around with a few if you want, you can always restore to default settings if anything goes wrong.Scroll down and dind the Run command box and tick it, then click OK.

4) Click Apply and then OK.

Finito you’re done, hope you enjoyed it.

Hello!, Matthew is awesomely cool with tons of knowledge and lots of experience in blah blah blah ...he doesn't like writing about himself cause it always seems to come out sounding self-centered, instead he will write this in a third person which most authors do anyway...perhaps it's because it makes us sound important cause it gives the illusion someone (non biased) thinks so highly of us they took some time off their own to write this :).Read more about me here...
