How To: Remove The Boot Error Beep Sounds

Are you sick of hearing those system beeps that sound like their coming from a little robot under your desk? I always get startled by that sound considering this is a top range computer and the sound reminds me of the problems I use to have with older ones.I found a way of modifying the registry to remove those beeps but I wouldn’t suggest this for everyone (only intermediate users) as these beep codes are sometimes helpful in alerting of errors and problems with your hardware.

1) Before you do anything you will need to backup all your registry, here is a tutorial on how to do it.

2) Click Start.

3) Click Run.

4) Type regedit then click and click OK.

5) Navigate to the following branch key: HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelSound

6) On the right hand side, locate the string named Beep, double click on it, and change the Value Data to no.

7) Reboot your computer.
