How To: Change Windows XP Themes Free

After all the trouble I have had with Windows Vista, I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my second computer. After using the new Windows Aero design, the xp theme felt dull and boring. So I searched around to see what new themes I could download I found some wicked ones which I downloaded and later found out I needed programs like StyleXP to use these themes.

Sure I could of downloaded a crack, but wheres the fun in that :| most cracked applications modify your registry with errors that usually leads to a slow computer in some cases it even crashes.Well I searched around and learned that I need to patch a small file named uxtheme.dll in Windows XP in order to load unsigned themes and visual styles.

How do you do that?
Easy, Neowin created a little program that allows you to patch the .dll file with just a few mouse clicks :) the program is called Multi-Patcher, once you have patched the file you only need to find some cool free themes.

Where do you find these cool free themes?
You would think theirs alot of good free theme gallery sites but theirs not, alot of designers are making their themes for pay applications like the one mentioned above. Luckily, I found a cool site called BelchFire.net where you can find a ton of stuff to choose from.

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial ;)
