Triponic Revamp

Welcome To Version 3!

Have you noticed the new design?…Welcome to Version 3.0 of Triponic.com!.First off let me apologize for not having updated the website in a while…you know how sometimes “the real world” grabs you by the wrist and drags you out of bed to the front door, you aren’t fully awake yet when it kicks you in the bum and yells “make some money and don’t come back before 7 pm!”. I can’t really say I have that much more time to spare right now but I think I have enough to juggle a few new articles and posts in between the whipping and the brakes to nibble on the bare chicken bones the almighty Emperor throws at us peasants.

Triponic will soon turn 2 years old, we all know what that age brings…the terrible two’s!, the same way a 2 year old toddler tries to find his place in the household I have tried to find my place in Triponic.com (I was planning to use my new logo that you can see on the left of this post but I decided to stick with the original), it started as a review blog of popular freeware/services/websites and had quite the cult following, in the second version I made it more broad (yet still cold and impersonal) also including life tutorial advice articles apart from the popular online tips and tricks guides, for this new chapter however I have decided to make it more personal, instead of ‘a’ blog I want it to be ‘my’ blog, I will continue with my diverse range of topic articles and reviews but giving it a more personal touch by inserting (such a geeky term) my personality into them.

As you can see the new version isn’t as glamorous as the old one, I wanted to go for a more simplistic look that is not only search engine friendly but reader friendly as well, I have edited this design from scratch and added many new features I think you will like, for starters I’d like to thank my new sponsors at Chitika for the great ads which I have disabled so they won’t disturb my loyal readers and are only shown to users referred by search engines, some of the changes I have made include: featured article section and quick notes on the homepage, tweaking the coding and databases for faster response times, added many more navigation and article options like the most popular articles, most commented and the highest rated (you now have the ability to rate articles :D), enhanced search features, voting polls, flash based tag clouds in the homepage, chat live with me sidebar box, digg this button for popular posts, print function to print my articles with one-click, ShareThis so you can spread the word about my articles, auto generated sitemap, for other blog owners I have added link backs to your blog in comments using CommentLuv (the comments will auto fetch an article of your choice from your blog and link to it in the comment you leave), the comments have also been improved with ajax editing/preview, threaded comments (meaning you can reply to someones comment directly and be notified of future responses), working gravatars and countless other things I’ve already forgotten (memory is fragile with age…I’m already in my 20’s :S :p).

Stay tuned for upcoming articles, I already have a few ideas from the feedback I’ve received through comments of what I should write about, feel free to use the contact form if you have any other requests.

I literally just finished adding the last lines of code and tweaks so I haven’t had time to fully test the site and all it’s features (or in different browsers), I’m aware images in old posts look a bit messy in padding/alignment/size (I’ll try to slowly edit the most important ones) but if you find any other bugs/problems please contact me :)

Hello!, Matthew is awesomely cool with tons of knowledge and lots of experience in blah blah blah ...he doesn't like writing about himself cause it always seems to come out sounding self-centered, instead he will write this in a third person which most authors do anyway...perhaps it's because it makes us sound important cause it gives the illusion someone (non biased) thinks so highly of us they took some time off their own to write this :).Read more about me here...
